Spring Leadership Retreat

When most people think of community college one thing comes to mind, students going to class. But Student Life is working hard to make sure that Broward Community College offers students not just academic opportunities, but extracurricular ones as well.

Returning to Lake Placid , the site of this year's Spring Student Life Leadership Retreat, students were given another opportunity to improve their leadership and communication skills, become more aware about the diversity that exists in today's world, as well as make new friendships with students from other campuses. Workshops in communication, diversity and conflict management were facilitated by nationally renowned motivational speaker, Victor Gonzalez and the students had ample opportunity to relax and enjoy the view or canoe, swim, play football and more. This is the second leadership retreat offered through Student Life this academic year and plans for next fall's retreat are already under way.
