On
Tuesday, February 11th, Downtown Center’s SGA hosted a “Smart
Love Table” in honor of upcoming Valentine’s Day. Several
active SGAers worked at the table, spreading out the scoop about contraception,
sexually transmitted diseases and overall information regarding safe sex.
Valentine’s Day weekend is a holiday filled with lustful emotions
so naturally Student Government passed out free prophylactics in the form
of ‘Condomgrams’ and female condoms.
While educating the student population on matters of safe sex, Student Government also took the opportunity to gather opinions regarding a proposed parking/security fee via surveys. College wide SGA’s across the BCC vast land have several individual parking concerns and Downtown Center is no different. Students took the opportunity to share their opinion and allowed Student Government to pick their brains! The event was well attended
and many brochures and pamphlets rapidly disappeared. Downtown Center
Student Government is convinced that DTC students will have a fun and
safe Valentine’s Day this year! |
