Meet & Greet August 2004
Every term brings new classes and new students and just about everyone of those new students is going to need some kind of help finding a class, a lab, or even the Dean’s office; everyone has been new at one point or another and just about everyone has needed help finding something. With that in mind Student Life, with the help of Student Government Association, put together a “Meet & Greet ” for new and returning students who need help finding whatever it is they needed to find. The premise for the event, which ran on Tuesday August 24th, and Wednesday the 25th from 9:00 am to 5:30 pm, was simple; set-up a table filled with muffins, bananas, apples, raisins, water, and other refreshments, in front of the main entrance of the Willis Holcombe Center, and direct students to the place they are trying to find. “The Meet & Greet was a great idea, a lot of students participated, and the event helped advertise SGA and other organizations and clubs, encouraging students to join,” said Shantelle Harris SGA Secretary.
