Possible Herps at Fern Forest

This is a list of reptiles and one amphibian that have been recorded as being present in the park since 1987. Six amphibians have been recorded at the park, but only one is likely to be found under boards. Aquatic turtles have also been excluded from the list, as they are unlikely to be found in the study area.

It is quite possible that you will not see any herps at all. Mostly they keep well-hidden. Also, the cover boards are revealing fewer animals than expected. The list is provided as a guide in identifying any herps that you may see.
