- Experiment Design and Conceptualization
- Proposal Preparation
Students investigate the many options available by surfing NASA Program websites such as the SSPP (Small Self Contained Payload Programs) site and the Texas Space Grant Consortium Reduced Gravity Program site
The students then prepare a small proposal describing their desired experiment.
The students meet in teams.
- Engineering Drawings
Payload Accommodation Requirements (PAR) document preparation. This is a required activity for the NASA GAS program. The students interface with NASA engineers assigned to the project. (The students help produce an official BCC/NASA document and contract. Many technical Drawings are required.)
Safety Data Package (SDP) preparation. This document is Similar to the PAR but much more in depth (an official document).
