The English Lab is available
to all students seeking answers about English grammar and writing. Students
enrolled in college-prep and ESL classes are required to attend lab
as a part of their class. These students receive free one-on-one help
as they complete the activities required for their lab. English and
ESL instructors can tailor the activities in the lab to fully support
the requirements in their class. For students enrolled in college level
English and writing credit classes, the lab provides a Paper reading
service.
The lab also contains many
valuable Resources in addition to tutors. There are dozens of books,
covering topics ranging from simple sentences to research papers, and
packets, which contain information on frequently referenced material.
We also have several useful computer programs and access to web sites
pertaining to English. At the end of the term, the English lab runs
several workshops for ENC 0021 students preparing for the state exit
exam. Any BCC student with a question about English is welcome to make
use of the English Lab's resources
