Are there any pre requisites to the program?
You must pass the TABE test or be exempt. All required courses are part of the program and do not need to be completed before enrolling.
When does the program start?
Program classes begin each year in Term I
The certificate courses-HCP0130, CAE0299, CAE0382, CAE0474, CAE0476, can be taken at any time prior to the start of Term I, or finished by the end of Term I.
Where and when are classes held?
The certificate courses are offered on Central Campus in Davie on different days and at different times. The program courses are offered on North Campus beginning in Term I on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday from 10am to 4pm.

Are there any other requirements to obtain work?
After graduation, you are required to sit for the Florida Massage Board Exam, administered by the National Certification Board of Massage Therapy and Bodywork. Upon passing, you may apply to the state of Florida for your massage therapy license. The exam is $225.00, and the license is $205.00.

How long is the program?
750 clock hours, or 25 credit hours. The program begins each August in Term I, and ends after Term II. The certificate courses can be taken at any time prior to OR during Term I.
Are there part time classes?
Classes must be taken sequentially to promote skill building. Each class is offered only once a year and must follow the full time schedule.
What type of degree will I receive upon graduation?
Vocational Certificate in Massage Therapy
Are there college credits for massage?
Our program does qualify for college credit towards the Health Services Management A.A.S.degree. Please contact the program manager at 954-201-6904.
What is the dress code?
During class, clothing must be loose, comfortable, and non-revealing. Shoes must be closed with a non-skid sole. No offensive language or designs on shoes or clothes are allowed. Uniforms are worn when doing community service work. Jewelry and valuables are not allowed in class

Please see Sandra Stone, the program manager if you need any assistance. The Learning Resource Center also offers many study aids along with to work with you on an individual basis. We are all here to help you succeed.
If I must leave the program, will I be able to return?
As long as you are in good standing with the college and there are seats available, you may re-enter the program.
Is there job placement available?
The college will assist in your job search, but cannot guarantee employment. There are many employers who contact the program manager and advertise locally about employment opportunities.
