AmeriCorps Mentoring Program

FL/CC College Access AmeriCorps Mentoring Program

The FL/CC College Access Corps is a part-time (300 hours) AmeriCorps program that offers Education Awards (scholarships) to 10 Broward College students who serve their community by mentoring at-risk youth to prepare them for college or new Broward College students who are enrolled in college prep coursework. AmeriCorps members will serve as mentors, volunteer alongside mentees in the community, and participate in professional development during their term of service.

3 program opportunities:
• Get Real Mentoring: at risk middle school age girls (2 positions)
• Urban League AEIOU: 16-24 year old students preparing for college (3 positions)
• Connect2Complete/AEIOU: collaborative program involving first time in college students and AEIOU students (5 positions)
