Acclaimed Irish ensemble, Danú, celebrates Christmas with 'Féile na Nollag' (A Christmas Gathering). Christmas in Ireland is one of the most important holidays for families and friends, as many Irish people living abroad come home to gather in celebration. Local community choirs singing traditional songs for Christmas and Wrens Day (Dec. 26) are a common site throughout Ireland each December. Music and dance gatherings, in communities both urban and rural, have often combined for generations to offer a great variety of songs, music, and stories for the holidays.

STEAM Visiting Artist Series – Future Environments
Broward College North Campus Fine Arts presents the latest lineup of nationally and internationally acclaimed artists comprising the 2016 – 2017 STEAM Visiting Artist Series. Artists in this year’s series create work that addresses the theme “Future Environments”, or 21st century environmental, social and individual concerns regarding changes in climate, ecology, natural resources and our increasingly complex relationship with existing and emerging technologies. Each artist in the series will present their work and the multitude of ideas they explore in a 7 p.m. lecture, followed the next day by an 11 a.m. workshop where participants will learn techniques directly from the artist in an intimate, creative setting. All lectures and workshops are free and supplies are included.
