Broward College Alumni Recognized for Service

This month, Broward College awarded the first Hall of Distinction Awards, a special recognition for Broward College alumni who have made a positive impact on their community.
 
Recipients were named in four categories: merit, service to the community, service to the College and emerging leader.
 
The Merit Awards recipients were: Dr. Robert Easton, a Fort Lauderdale optometrist; Chip LaMarca, a Broward County Commissioner; actor David Sirois and Davie businessman Shubert Chang.
 
Diana Hunter-Gonzalez, an instructor at Broward College, was named recipient of the Service to the Community Award. Michael Borrone, founder of enVision Staffing Solutions, Inc., was named recipient of the Service to the College Award, and Michael Nyitray, founder of Broward County High School Bowling and owner of WorldMike’s Pro Shop, was named recipient of the Emerging Leader Award.
