The Centers of Disease Control and Prevention summer 2013 Broward College internship recipients
Ashley Patton and Vanessa PluguesThese BC students will be working on projects under the President’s Malaria Initiative at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, Division of Parasitic Diseases and Malaria in Atlanta, GA.
Projects will include conducting CDC and WHO bioassays to determine resistance to and efficacy of vector control methods; bednet procedures and effectiveness; and determining modes of vector resistance using biochemical and genetic methodologies. The research they will be a part of will save countless lives!
