Common Reasons for Not Being Able to Log In
- You are attempting to log in before the start of classes or after the class has ended: BConline classes are not active before the first day of the term and usually end seven days after the close of the class. Contact the instructor for further information on the start and end dates.
- You have not paid:
You must have registered and paid or the course will not be available online. - You are using the wrong username:
Your BConline (D2L) login is your Broward College ID without the @mail.broward.edu part, in all lowercase. For example, if your email address is 'jsmith01@mail.broward.edu' then your username is just jsmith01. - You don't know your Broward College email username:
To find your username...
First: Go to the Student E-mail homepage.
Second: Click on the "ID LOOKUP" link and follow the directions.
Third: Return to the BConline login page, and enter your information. - You cannot remember your password:
If you changed your default email password from your 6-digit birth month and year, but you can't remember what you changed it to, you can reset your password here.
If all else fails...
If you are having trouble logging into your Broward College email or myBC account, and none of the above suggestions work, please contact 954-201-7521 or helpdesk@broward.edu. It's available 7 a.m. to 11 p.m., Monday through Friday. Emergency after-hours support is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week via the voice mail system. Do not contact the Broward College help desk regarding technical issues once you have been able to access your BConline (D2L) courses.
