Broward College is committed to making sure all vendors have access to the College’s contracting opportunities.  For that purpose, the Procurement Services Department provides the following enhancements to the College’s Supplier Diversity initiative.

I. Pre-Bid Conferences are scheduled:  a) to describe the project, explain expectations, and generate interest among prime contractors to ensure that the project will receive maximum competition amongst bidders, and b) to stimulate discussions that will generate questions in an effort to assist prospective proposers in preparing the best and most comprehensive proposal for submission to the College.

The date, time and location of the Pre-Bid Conference will be indicated in the solicitation document. 

All competitive solicitations are released through DemandStar by Onvia at: www.demandstar.com.

II. Procurement Meetings are offered to vendors that provide a product or service that is shown on the following Forecast of Procurement Opportunities (Procurement Requirements Policy 6Hx2-6.34).

Procurement Agents are available to meet individually with vendors who need to discuss requirements and/or specifications for products or services listed in the Forecast.  Our staff works together to blend the strengths of each to select the best vendors and negotiate the best contracts - always maintaining a procurement system of quality and integrity that protects the interests of the College.

Note:  Solicitations for rebidding current contracts will be released approximately six weeks prior to the Current Expiration Date.
