- The US Department of Labor and Bureau of Labor Statistics now indicates that the employment of PT Assistants is expected to grow much faster than average through the year 2010.
- Beginning in 2005, the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics projects a 70% increase in demand for physical therapist assistants in Florida.
According to the US Department of Labor and Bureau of Labor Statistics, median annual earnings for a PT Assistant were $33,870 for the year 2000. The middle 50% earned between $28,830 and $40,440. It is predicted that the profession will continue to experience a resurgence in demand especially in skilled nursing facilities and home health areas.
