Ready to Work

Are you seeking an “edge” to land your next job, or an employer looking for skilled employees who can make a difference in your organization? The State of Florida has your solution – a credential program that gives potential employees valuable tools and helps employers obtain the skilled employees they need.

The Ready To Work program evaluates individuals on three assessments, including Reading for Information, Applied Mathematics and Locating Information. Individuals who master these areas obtain the Ready To Work Credential – the keys for success.

Broward Community College, in collaboration with the Florida Department of Education, will utilize the WorkKeys online software application to assess and train students and job seekers. There is no cost to participate in the program.

This credential will demonstrate to current and future employers that you have the skills to meet employment expectations. Businesses are beginning to use the Ready to Work Credential as part of their recruitment and hiring practices.

Knowing you possess Florida’s Ready to Work Credential, an employer can be more confident that you can begin the job with the skills necessary for successful job performance.
