The Faculty Senate serves as a forum for the exchange of ideas between various faculty members or between the faculty and the administration. Many of the problems that we face are the common concern of various members of the college community. Some of the issues the Senate has acted upon include grade appeals, grading policy, class sizes, protecting sabbaticals, and procedures for faculty selection and retention. The members of the Senate are nominated and elected by the faculty on their campus.
Want to bring up something at a Senate meeting? You are more than welcome to attend in person. Faculty, administrators, and representatives of student government are all welcome to attend. You may reach the Senate President at (954)201-2296 email Jlansing@broward.edu.
