Student Financial Aid Checks

After tuition and books are paid, some students receive financial aid checks for the balance of their aid. These checks are generally disbursed two weeks after the 100% refund for drop and add period.

Things you should know:
  • Checks are mailed directly from North Carolina. This is the fastest way to receive the check. You cannot pick your check up at Broward College.
  • If you drop a class, your check may be held for further review of eligibility.
  • If you have an obligation (ie. library), your check will be held.
  • If you paid your tuition by credit card, the credit card will be reimbursed first and then any balance will be mailed to you. Your card should be credited within the week.
  • Your check is mailed to the mailing address you have on file with Broward College. Please make sure it is accurate.
  • Funds are disbursed by session each term.

Session 1 and 2:Checks will be mailed the week of September 18th.

Session 3:
Checks will be mailed the week of October 9th.

Session 4:
Checks will be mailed the week of November 20th.
