Florida Bright Futures Programs

Florida Bright Futures Scholarship Program rewards Florida High School graduates who demonstrate high academic achievement and enroll in eligible Florida post secondary institutions. This scholarship program has three award levels: the Florida Academic Scholars Award, the Florida Medallion Scholars Award, and the Florida Gold Seal Vocational Scholars Award. Each award level has different academic criteria for eligibility and different award amounts.

Florida Academic Scholars - students receive 100% of tuition and a small stipend toward educationally related expenses.

Florida Medallion Scholars - students receive 100% of their tuition and fees for college credit courses leading toward an Associate degree. If working toward a certificate program or bachelors degree, students receive 75% tuition.

Florida Gold Seal Vocational Scholars - students receive 75% of tuition.

All Florida Bright students must be enrolled in at least 6 non-remedial credits.

If your award covers only 75% of your tuition, you must pay the 25% balance before the payment due date to secure your classes.

Authorization forms and eligibility criteria are available from your high school guidance office or the Florida Department of Education. (Call toll free in the U.S. at 1-888-827-2004).
