If you are a first time borrower or are new to BC, you must complete an entrance counseling session.

Exit Counseling - If you graduate, withdraw, or drop below 6 credit hours, you will be required to complete an exit counseling session. This interactive session provides information on managing your loans after you complete your education.

Master Promissory Note - The MPN is the legal document through which you promise to repay your Direct Loans and any accrued interest and fees to the Department. It also explains the terms and conditions of your loans. A Direct Loan MPN can be used to make loans for up to ten (10) years.

Loan Appointment- If your prior loan amount exceeds the BC institutional limit ($20,000 for AA/AS students or $40,000 for BA/BS students) or your current requested amount will cause you to exceed the limit, you will be required to calculate the amount of your repayment and attend an IN PERSON debt management workshop. You must do the loan calculation below and bring the results to the workshop. The loan calculator will summarize your monthly repayment obligations.
