Every Veteran must see an academic adviser before choosing classes. Electives should be used wisely to avoid situations in which required courses may not be offered and all electives have been completed. Veterans must see the designated academic adviser on each campus regarding training received in the military. During graduation term you can enroll in any class providing you are also registered for a class required for graduation.

State law required that remedial and preparatory Math and English courses may be attempted only three times. If you attempt a course more than three times, you will be charged the full cost of education equivalent to out of state fees.
Fee advances are deferments issued to veterans according to Florida Statutes. Veterans are entitled to one fee advance per academic year and an additional fee advance each time there is a delay in the receipt of benefits. The fee advance is due 60 days after the first day of the term no matter what session you are enrolled in for the term. This is to help pay your tuition while your benefits are being processed. Fee advances do not include funds for books. The fee advance must be paid by the due date, even if the student is ineligible to receive benefits. If you need a fee advance to help pay your tuition, please visit any campus Student Financial Services office.

Veterans are encouraged to file for financial aid to help meet other educational costs including books and supplies. For additional information, please visit Eligibility Requirements.

Veterans Tutorial Assistance: The Veterans Tutorial Assistance program is established to provide eligible students with help in paying for qualified tutors. Students who are in Chapters 30, 32, 35, and 1606 are eligible for this program. VA will reimburse authorized tutorial expenses up to $100 per month for students who have been accepted into the program by the college.

LRC - Library Tutoring Services: Learning options including tutoring services and computer access to assist students with their research.

Success Center - Tutoring Services and Homework Help: Special tutor sessions for accounting and economics, American Sign Language (ASL), English prep/writing, foreign/international languages, math, reading, science, and word processing.

As an Equal Access/Equal Opportunity Institution, Broward College assures students with disabilities including veterans equal access to all college programs. Disclosure of a disability is voluntary.
