 |  | The STARS Academy (Steering Teens Towards Academic Rewards and Success) at Broward Community College is a mentoring/ tutoring program which matches at-risk students, grades 6 to 12, with local citizens for bi-monthly sessions, focusing on reading, math and life skills. Tutoring is supplemented with cultural enrichment activities for students.
