​Broward College is aware that there are times when life can get in the way of your achieving your dreams. We would like to support your education not only inside but outside of the classroom by providing you a connection with community resources.


The mission of the Seahawk Outreach Services (SOS) assists students in distress, who may be experiencing extenuating circumstances outside of the classroom that threaten their ability to successfully enter and/or complete college.

​Provides 24-hour comprehensive helpline and support services for residents of Broward County by providing access, through professional guidance and advocacy, to essential community health and human services.  2-1-1 Broward offers comprehensive support to individuals and families by assessing their full range of needs, connecting them to a network of providers who can meet those needs, and following up to ensure that these callers received services.  Dial 211

​As you pursue your education, you will encounter challenges that will affect your ability to be successful. Concerns about relationships, family, stress, body image, and drug and alcohol abuse can cause distress and problems with day-to-day living.  The Broward College Student Assistance Program (SAP) provided by Henderson Student Counseling Services provides individual mental health counseling, assessment, consultation and campus outreach services to all full- or part-time Broward College students. This program offers:  24-hour hotline, six free visits with a licensed mental health professional, referral for additional sessions priced at your ability to pay, and a comfortable, confidential environment.

Empowers immigrants and other members of the community to become self-sufficient, productive and civically engaged.  HU offers programs and services in four languages – English, Spanish, Haitian Creole and Sign Language.  ESOL Classes, Citizenship Classes, FREE Tax preparation, Employment Preparation and Placement, Career Coaching, Healthcare Assistance, Family Strengthening, Legal Consultation, Year Round After School Programs and Licensed Pre-School are just a few of the resources offered.
