Broward College Website Submit A Story Request Are you a Broward College student or employee? Do you have an important unique or interesting story or announcement you want to showcase on the Broward College website? If so, follow these 3 simple steps! 1. Complete each section. Type directly into the fields provided below. 2. Identify any additional files and/or .jpg images that will be used for this story. We have access to many images. If you do not have any images or if we are unable to use the images you provide, we will select similar, appropriate images for you. 3. Submit this request. Provide clear details about your story/announcement.
TARGET AUDIENCE:	Indicate which group of readers are you trying to reach? (Check all that apply.) Student Employee Business & Community (Public)
START DATE:	Provide the date you want the story/announcement to appear on the web site. The story/announcement must be requested at least 48 hours prior to start date. Announcements are usually posted on a first come-first serve basis. Stories may get replaced due to unforeseen circumstances (e.g. emergency or weather alerts), or higher priority announcements (determined by senior administration).
END DATE:	Provide the date you want the story/announcement to be removed from the web site. Stories typically have a display life of 2-5 days.
STORY TITLE:	Provide the title of your story/announcement. This story title will appear under the image on the homepage (that links to the story) and at the top of the story itself. Limit to 70 characters. The story/announcement title should be brief, and may be revised by IT personnel if necessary.
STORY SYNOPSIS:	Provide a short description of the story/announcement. Synopsis is limited to 90 characters.
STORY BODY: The actual content of the story.	Provide the following components: a call to action, specific dates, times, locations, and contact information as applicable. Your story/announcements should include details such as who and what your story is about, and why you feel it is important or interesting. Your call to action should be what you want the readers to do, for example; attend, support, participate, be aware, congratulate, contact, join, visit, get started, register, etc., or some exclamatory (e.g. Congratulations!, Welcome!, Mark your calendar!, Help is available!, Need Financial Aid!, Check this out!, Volunteers are needed!, etc.) Please limit you story to one page. Keep in mind, the IT Department is not responsible for your content.
