Success Center - College Prep Readiness

Broward College has many programs available for students of Broward County still in middle school and high school. Depending on your situation, we have specially designed programs that will help you further your education beyond grade school. We also have programs for first time college students looking for some assistance.

Middle School Students


C.R.O.P. College Reach Out Program - (Free) Provides academic and cultural enhancements designed to motivate 6-12 grade students to pursue college.


Education Preparation - Courses that prepare students for exams required for higher education or advanced certification, as well as programs for youth ages 8-16.


STARS Academy (Steering Teens Towards Academic Rewards & Success) - (Free) Mentoring/tutoring program which matches at-risk students, grades 6-12, with local citizens for bi-monthly sessions (September - May) focusing on reading, math, life skills and cultural enrichment activities.


High School Students


Advanced Placement - Allows high school students taking AP courses in their junior and senior years to receive college credit. Public schools can take a national examination in May and will pay for the exam. Private schools make their own arrangements for the testing fee.

College Academy @ BC Central Campus - Public high school juniors who are attending full time can earn a two-year Associate of Arts (AA) degree from Broward College by the time you graduate from high school!

C.R.O.P. College Reach Out Program - (Free) Provides academic and cultural enhancements designed to motivate 6-12 grade students to pursue college.


Dual Enrollment - Gives high school juniors and seniors a unique opportunity to enroll in courses at Broward College for high school and college credit.


Early Admission - Offers high school seniors an opportunity to enroll full-time in college and receive high school and college credit for the courses they complete successfully.

CAREER PATHWAYS (formerly TECH PREP) - Earn technical education college credits at your high school, a local technical center, or at Broward College while participating in one of over 135 individual programs of study, career and technical education at Broward College.




First Time in College


College Preparatory Program (College Prep) - Assistance to those transitioning from high school to college develop the entry-level skills necessary to achieve success in their college-level programs. /includes: Math, English, Reach and EAP (English for Academic Purposes).

Learning Communities - Broward College Learning Communities are interactive linked classes that offer extra support for your success! Classes are small and professors work together on shared assignments.

Tutors - Schedule an appointment with a tutor. These one-on-one sessions are designed to enhance your skills in various subjects; including: Accounting, Math, Languages, Biology, Science, BC Smarthinking and more!



Kids & Teens Summer College - Courses and activities designed for children and young adults ages 8-17.

Career Pathways (formally Tech Prep) - is a way to start your career while still in high school. Earn college credit through dual enrollment/tech dual enrollment or through a local tech center.
