Get help with difficult classes when you need it! As a Broward College student, you are eligible for free, online and in person tutoring services (30-minute appointments). You also have access to subject-related videos, computer-aided instruction (CAI) software, and other supplemental learning aids.

Voluntary Tutoring Services:

  • Just bring your Broward College student ID card.
  • You do not need a teacher's permission.
  • Come any time! Hours are not required/logged.
  • Available at any campus, not just the campus you normally go to.

Required Tutoring Services:

Students studying books in Library
  • Broward College students, as a class pre-requisite or co-requisite
    requirement
  • Requires your instructor's written permission.
  • Hours are logged for your instructor(s).
  • In most cases, labs must be taken on the campus you normally attend.



Special Tutor sessions for:

Accounting and Economics

Accounting and Economics (Accounting I, II and III, and Economics I and II) - Provides one-on-one appointments, walk-in and open session homework help to students needing assistance with Accounting and Economics class work. Available at North Campus (Tutor Schedule) and Central Campus (Tutor Schedule)


American Sign Language

American Sign Language (ASL) - Provides one-on-one (30-minute) tutoring sessions to enhance ASL skills learned in the classroom to help students pass their ASL course. Available at North Campus (Tutor Schedule) and Central Campus (Tutor Schedule)


English/Writing

English Prep/Writing - Each campus provides unique tutoring lab experiences to help students successfully develop English grammar, writing, and composition skills needed for college level English and writing credit classes. At the end of each term, South campus English Lab offers ENC0021 state exit exam prep workshops.

Foreign/International Languages

Foreign/International Languages - Learning a new language (Spanish, French, German, etc.) can be made easier with patience, practice, and tutorial help such as personal tutors, lab assistants, audio and videotapes, and computer programs. Available at Central | North | South.


Math

Math (Pre-Algebra, Beginning Algebra, Intermediate Algebra, College Algebra, Pre-Calculus, Business Calculus, Calculus I, Differential Equations, Liberal Arts Math, Statistics, and Trigonometry) - Tutors are willing and able to help you improve your math skills, conquer your fear of math, and pass your mathematics courses. Reading

Reading (College Prep, College Level Reading and ESL class assistance) - Primarily offers help to students taking developmental reading classes by providing opportunities for students to increase their reading levels and to improve their comprehension. Central | Pines | South.


Science

Science (Anatomy, Biology, Chemistry, Microbiology, Nursing, Organic Chemistry, Physical Therapy, Physiology, and Vision Care) - Provides materials (textbooks, handouts, microscopes, slides, etc.) and life-size models for self-directed and kinesthetic group study with experienced peer tutors. Central | North | South


Television Production Studio

Television Production Studio - Provides students with state-of-the-art technology and assistance to edit and produce various media formats. Central Campus. Also see the Audio/Video Help Form.


Word Processing

Word Processing - Provides computers loaded with the most popular word processing software and laser quality printers to help student prepare class notes, homework, term papers, presentations, resumes, etc..
