| | Tech Prep Articulated Agreements
The Tech Prep Articulation Reference Guidebook was designed to help guide Tech Prep students through the assessment process at Broward Community College.
Once students complete their Career and Technical Program in high school, they must successfully complete an assessment in order to receive college credit. An assessment can be a test, a portfolio, certificate of completion, or a combination of all of these. The articulation chart works like this: - The first column lists the courses students must complete while in high school or at a Broward County technical center (Atlantic, Sheridan, or McFatter) in order to become eligible for college credit at BCC.
- The second column explains the type of assessment the student must pass in order to receive college credits.
- The third college lists the courses students will receive college credits for at Broward Community College if the assessment is successfully completed.
- The fourth column lists the number of credits students are eligible to receive if the assessment is successfully completed.
- The fifth column lists the specific degree(s) or certificate(s) for which the college credits can be used. This column is extremely important, because many students think they can use the credits toward any degree they chose; however, this is not the case. They must use the credits toward a degree that has been agreed upon by BCPS and BCC.
