1. In today’s job market employers want employees who have job related skills. In other words, they want someone who can perform on the job, not someone they need to train. So, by taking career courses, Tech Prep students are learning skills that can be used in a variety of careers.
   
   
2. Tech Prep students can also earn college credits toward a certificate or degree. By earning credits while in high school Tech Prep students are saving money, because they don’t pay for classes or books. They are also saving time, because the college credits they earn mean they don’t have to take those courses while they are in college.
   
   
3. Tech Prep students also qualify for the Gold Seal Scholarship, which is part of the Florida Bright Futures Scholarship Program. The Gold Seal Scholarship pays for 75% of your college tuition!

For example, if your college tuition is $1,000, the Gold Seal Scholarship will pay $750, leaving you with a balance of only $250! What a deal!
