Sailing

Learn to sail at the beautiful Tigertail Lake Center located in Dania Beach. The classes are designed for lots of hands-on experience and lots of fun! Classes are available for a one credit elective or through Continuing Education. Sign up now or contact us for more information.

Non Credit Classes
Through Broward College’s Continuing Education, anyone has the opportunity to take a sailing class for non-credit. This class includes rigging, knots, basic maneuvers, and safety practices. You will receive a US Sailing Basic Sailing Certification upon completion and will be eligible to go on our trips to the Florida Keys.

Credit Classes

Have fun and earn a college credit! Students will learn the fundamentals and techniques of sailing with this one-credit elective class. Students will receive a US Sailing Basic Sailing Certification upon completion of class and will be eligible to go on our trips to the Florida Keys.

Rental Information

Sailboat Rentals available by the hour.
BC Students: Free
Faculty/Staff: $10/hour
General Public: $15/hour

Accessible Sailing

Tigertail Lake Center has partnered with Freedom Water Foundations to offer sailing in our specialized accessible dinghies to those with life threatening illnesses, disabilities or any special needs group that may not otherwise have the opportunity to have such an experience.
