In this course, students will accomplish a wide variety of lab projects leading to a high degree of understanding of basic tasks required of an aircraft maintenance technician related to metallic structures. Extensive lab work will help students also learn about composite structures including fiberglass, Kevlar, various core materials, and Plexi-glass; as well as, fabric coverings, and aircraft finishes. This course is required as part of the FAA 147 curriculum.
