Florida Statutes require that anyone servicing a public pool by maintaining the cleanliness, water quality and chemical balance must be certified. This course meets Florida requirements. The CPO course is established by the National Swimming Pool Foundation to provide the knowledge to safely and efficiently manage and operate swimming pools and spas. Course covers water chemistry, filtration, maintenance, operations, safety, pool math calculations, spa/hot tub guidelines and health codes. Two hour pool Math review class and textbooks are included in the fees. Students should bring a calculator, highlighter, marker, pad of paper and a pen to class. Students complete the CPO certification exam at the end of class and must achieve a 75% grade or higher.
