About Engineering Tech & Computer Sc Department:
BCC offers 4 well-established Engineering Technology programs, supported by industry and very highly recognized throughout the state of Florida and nationally. BCC's Engineering Programs graduate high-level technicians who find employment in a variety of high-technology corporations throughout the country. From its inception, BCC's Engineering Technology programs have set the standards for electronics education throughout the state.

The Electronics Engineering program has been referred to by the Florida High Technology and Industry Council as "a model program for Electronics Engineering Technology education." The program has also been designated as a Center for Electronics Emphasis by the Florida High Technology and Industry Council. In October 1992 the program received the U.S. Secretary of Education's award for the best technical program in the southeastern region of the United States. The single most contributing factor in the success of our technology programs is the personal interest manifested by the College in general, and the Department in particular, in the educational development of the individual student.

Engineering Technology is the part of the technological field requiring the application of scientific and engineering knowledge and methods combined with technical skills in support of engineering activities. The Department of Engineering Technology offers four majors leading to the Associate of Applied Science in Engineering Technology degree.
