Biography Information
I encourage my students to do their best in school, and make use of different web sites to learn ESL at home, so they can reinforce what I teach in the classroom. I use different methods in language teaching which makes me an eclectic instructor. I favor classroom dynamics that permit dialogue and foster a degree of students input as to curricula and grading criteria. I also like to encourage my students to think about the class as a community. This philosophy reflects that in class, I have students spent a fair amount of time in small groups in which they not only talk and think together, but cooperate with one another.
I love to implement technology in my teachings such as: power point, smart board, projectors, and other technological devices available in the classroom. By doing this, the students can have the privilege that other students didn?t have when these technological devices were not around. Even though I have studied Applied Linguistics at the undergraduate and graduate levels in three different countries, I still continue to read many articles and books in this field. This helps me to have a better understanding of how languages are learned, and also helps me to improve my teaching strategies.
Teaching Philosophy
I have taught in three different countries, I am very motivated in teaching ESL and English, and I love to see my students progressing and looking to move forward in the American Society. I am always willing to help them to achieve their American Dreams.
