MEET YOUR PROFESSOR! Hello! My name is Mr. Beau Beadel. I am originally from Southern California. I moved to the South Florida area about 7 years ago and have been a full-time Professor at Broward Community College, North Campus in Office Systems Technology for 5 years. I have a Master of Science Degree in Management Information Systems from Nova Southeastern University, a Bachelors Degree in Communications from California State University, Fullerton and an Associate in Arts Degree from Orange Coast College, Costa Mesa, California.. I have been training professionals in Computer Applications, Networking, and hardware for over 15 years in both the educational and corporate settings. In addition, I am committed to the mission of the community college system. In other words, I was once a community college student myself and experienced nothing short of personal attention from my professors and I share a vision for my students in that I am here for one reason and that is for YOU! I look forward to working with all of you and helping you achieve both your educational and career goals! |

ABOUT THE OFFICE SYSTEMS TECHNOLOGY CURRICULUM |

The Office Systems Technology curriculum prepares individuals for positions in administrative support careers. It equips office professionals to respond to the demands of a dynamic, computerized workplace. Students will complete courses designed to develop proficiency in the use of integrated software, oral and written communication, analysis and coordination of office duties and systems and other support topics. Emphasis is placed on non-technical as well as technical skills. Graduates should qualify for employment in a variety of positions in business, government and industry. Job classifications range from entry-level to supervisor to middle management · help students understand the support role of office systems; · prepare students to use modern office technology, both hardware and software; · provide instruction and hands-on experience in planning office support systems; · prepare students to develop and implement modern office systems; · teach students management strategies for modern, integrated office systems; · help students apply communication theory, human relations, concepts, research methods, and information technologies |
