As an "earn and learn" model, apprentices acquire entry-level skills to become qualified professionals within a partner company. Qualified apprentices are selected by employers and paid an entry-level wage while learning on the job with a mentor and attending related technical instructions at Broward College. Upon completion of the Apprenticeship Program, apprentices will have the option to pursue one of Broward College’s degree programs for career advancement.

Apprenticeships are based on the employer's job availability. Check with the program office to attend a scheduled information session.
is approximately one year and includes six (6) modules with opportunities to earn industry certifications in A+, Project+, Network+, Cloud, and Security+ and soft-skills training. Each module offers 480 hours of related technical instruction at Broward College and 2000 hours of on‐the-job training with a participating employer.
is approximately one year and includes three (3) modules with the opportunity to earn (2) industry certifications - Copper Installer certification and Fiber Optic Installer certification and soft-skills training. Each module offers 240 hours of Related Technical Instruction at Broward College. Apprentices complete a total of 2160 hours of on-the-job training between the Copper Installer and Fiber Optic courses.

BENEFITS
Apprentices earn a living wage during their training. There are scheduled wage increases as apprentices acquire more skills through the program’s training and on‐the‐job experience.
