Is Online Learning For Me?

Who Should Enroll in Online Classes?
As convenient and affordable as our online classes can be, they aren’t for everyone. If you’re thinking about an online education, make sure it’s a good fit for you first. Below is a list of characteristics of successful online learners.  If you are still unsure if online learning is for you, you can always take a blended course first, where you will attend fewer on-campus classes but will also complete some of the class requirements online.

Know basic computer and typing skills
Sending and receiving emails, adding attachments, creating and managing files and trouble-shooting on your own are essential skills for the online program.

Be willing to ask questions
Learning online means you have to take more of an initiative and ask for help when you don’t understand a concept or assignment.

Set aside plenty of time for classes
We recommend logging in at least four times a week to participate in your online courses.

Communicate clearly in writing
Most of the communication you will be engaged in will be via email and discussion forums, so you should be able to write your ideas clearly.

Comfortably read text online
The majority of your reading will be available online, so before you register, make sure you’re comfortable reading texts on a computer screen.

Be organized
Staying on top of your assignments and managing your time properly will ensure success with our program.
