Tigertail Lake Recreational Center is well known for its watersports and recreational activities, and for good reason! Tigertail boasts some of the most experienced and professional instructors for these watersports in all of South Florida. Through the Broward College Continuing Education Program, a student can get professional instruction - and even certification - in a variety of courses, including SCUBA, sailing, and even windsurfing.
Tigertail Lake Recreational Center’s SCUBA program is a full PADI-certified course. After taking the course, which is taught by a PADI-certified instructor, the student will have acquired their official PADI open-water certification. PADI certification is recognized around the world and sets the standard in safety and education for this incredibly exciting sport. Tigertail Lake has a fleet of small sailing watercraft, from JY-15 and Hobie Catamarans for the high-speed sailors to American 18 for the cruiser, all ready to sail on our 5-acre lake.
The sailing instructors at Tigertail Lake are fully certified and have decades of experience teaching (and sailing!), so rest assured that every student will learn at their own pace. Continuing Education classes provide a great classroom environment, and private lessons are available for those that want a more personally tailored experience.
