Get up to $2,000 for Personal Expenses

All students who enroll in the Fall semester qualify to receive up to $2,000 to be used for personal expenses including, books, rent, food, and other needs. 

You are guaranteed to receive between $200 - $800 without an application, with the opportunity to apply for up to $1200 more by answering two quick questions.*

You must be enrolled in Fall classes to qualify. Classes start August 18, September 8 and October 18, 2021.
*Additional $1200 funding is determined by financial need.

These options require you to attend class at a physical campus when conditions allow:

Traditional
Courses taken on campus during scheduled meeting days and times. Students are required to be physically present and follow safety protocols.
Blended
A blend of on campus and online instruction. Safety protocols will be followed when meeting on campus.

These options do not require you to attend class at a physical campus:

BC Online
Coursework is completed virtually in Broward College’s online learning environment, D2L. Courses have no required in-person meetings but have weekly and term deadlines for online course assignments and activities
BC Online Live
BC Online Live- BC Online Live courses require students and instructors to meet virtually via Zoom during designated days and times. Coursework is completed virtually in Broward College's online learning environment (D2L), as students are not required to physically attend class on campus.

Choosing Your Classes

When registering for classes review the class notes to determine if your class is on-campus, remote learning, or online. Read the descriptions carefully to understand the difference between remote learning and online courses and the requirements for each.

Virtual Student Services Assistance

Get virtual Admissions, Academic Advising, or Financial Aid assistance. Limited on-campus student services have resumed, visiting campus for one of these services may result in longer than desired wait times.

Child Care Assistance

The Child Care Access Means Parents In School (CCAMPIS) grant assists student parents with the cost of keeping their children enrolled in child care services. Our program provides free or discounted funding to eligible students.

 

The CCAMPIS grant requires students to be:

  • Pell-eligible
  • Enrolled for a minimum of 6 credit hours or more for the Summer term
  • Enrolled for a minimum of 9 credit hours or more for the Fall and Spring terms
  • Have a 2.0 GPA or higher
  • Be in good academic standing

Rapid Credentials - Short Term Certificate Programs

Rapid credentials can help you reach the next level by training in a high-demand, high-earning field. Rapid credentials are short-term programs that allow you to acquire a specialized set of skills in as little as 8-weeks to one year. Many employers value certifications because they demonstrate proficiency. In addition to boosting your earning potential, certificates count towards credits towards a degree program.

Credit for Prior Learning - A Faster Path to Degree Completion

We understand that there are many ways of learning and we believe you should get credit for the skills you've acquired. Students entering Broward College with prior learning experience for skills acquired in high school, technical college, certificate programs, work experience, the military, or other life experiences, have the opportunity to gain credit.
