Congratulations on taking the first step toward setting and achieving your career goals! Career exploration and planning consists of completing self-assessments, exploring career pathways, matching majors to careers, and accessing information about career-specific salaries and in-demand jobs. These steps should be taken at the beginning of your student journey to help identify and confirm your career goals. Students can also revisit the career exploration phase throughout their educational journeys to learn more about emerging career opportunities, or to dig deeper into new career interests. This is important because identifying a career goal allows you to select the right major and degree to accomplish your career goal. Likewise, selecting the appropriate degree will allow you to create an educational plan with your academic advisor that outlines the exact course sequence needed to quickly complete your degree.

Getting started is easy!

Follow the steps outlined below to navigate the career exploration and planning process.
