Our goal is to help you get the training needed to find a good job, make more money, and get the skills needed to thrive in your career. Broward College instructors, staff, and community partners are invested in your success, so we are bringing everything you need directly to you. YOU are college material, and YOU have what it takes to thrive in your career. We can help you choose the right program(s), earn credit for your prior learning and work experiences, and find a good job. We can help you achieve your career goals.
Eligibility: Applicants must be 18 or older for most Broward College courses. Healthcare courses require applicants to have completed a high school diploma or GED. Our Adult Education Program can assist you if you have not completed a high school diploma or GED.
Funding: Through grant funding, Broward College offers courses and workshops at no cost to eligible Broward County residents or referred by community partners. Certain restrictions apply.

Career Pathway Navigators (CPN) are dedicated to your success. While engaged with Broward College, you will be assigned a CPN who works in partnership with you to complete career assessments, goal-setting exercises, and to select a pathway for career and educational planning. These dedicated professionals will guide you through the Broward College Adult and Community Education programming options, and introduce you to the services available through EMPLOYS for job placement. You matter and you have what it takes to achieve unlimited potential. Your CPN will also help you address any potential barriers in the way of academic and workforce success.
Broward College Adult and Community Education gives students the chance to continue their education with FREE short- term courses to build confidence! In addition to getting the skills you need to start a career, you’ll also have the opportunity to earn credits that may be applied to one of Broward College’s technical certificates, associate’s, or bachelor’s degrees. Want to complete your GED while earning a college credential? Broward College can help you pursue an in-demand trade while working toward your GED. As part of Broward College's Adult Education programming, participating students will receive tuition-free training, and all fees and books will be paid for as they pursue a trade. Finished with your continuing education courses? Broward College can help you smoothly transition from non-credit to credit programs through articulation and prior learning assessments. These opportunities allow you to complete your degree faster for career advancement by providing credit for the non-credit courses completed, earned licenses and industry certifications, and for prior knowledge

Exploring Career Pathways and Ladders
Get Employed with Broward College Employment Solutions. The Employment Management Program for Labor Opportunities that Yields Success (EMPLOYS) offers free workplace readiness training, along with job placement for continuing education program completers. The EMPLOYS team works with employers to create individual pathways of entry into high-demand industries. Relationships are built to create opportunities for priority interviews, hiring, and paid work experiences such as projects, internships/externships, and apprenticeships for Broward College Adult and Community Education course completers.
Equipped with industry certifications and soft skills training, our Career Development Senior Specialists provide job placement in positions with the potential for career growth.
The special attention given to each participant prepares them for work that will exponentially change their life, family, neighborhood, and the greater community.
