Are you a 2023 high school graduate from Broward County?
If so, you may be eligible for a tuition-free associate degree! Whether you are pursuing an Associate of Arts (AA), Associate of Science (AS), or Associate of Applied Science (AAS) degree, you can potentially start your college journey without the burden of tuition.
Free tuition, up to 75 credits, towards an Associate of Arts, Associate of Science or Associate of Applied Science degree program for up to 7 semesters.
And:
Graduate from any Broward County Public, Private or Charter High School in 2023, or be an eligible Broward County homeschool 2023 graduate.
Complete a 2023-2024 Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) with an annual adjusted gross income at or below $82,000.00.
Maintain full-time status at Broward College (Earn 30 credits per academic year). Minimum of 12 credits – fall term; Minimum of 12 credits – spring term; Minimum of 6 credits – summer term.
Qualify for Florida in-state tuition.
Register for Fall 2023 or Spring 2024 classes at Broward College.

Now that you have applied to the College and received your BC username, the next step is to complete the Pledge2Success Scholarship Program form.
Once you have successfully completed the pledge form, you will receive an email titled "Pledge2Success Scholarship Program Next Steps." This email will provide you with detailed instructions on fulfilling all the requirements for the scholarship.
Complete the FAFSA. The Broward College Federal Student Code is 001500.
Be sure to check MyBC for any additional required financial aid documentation to complete the financial aid process.
Submit all documentation required to complete the pledge, including:
Login to your account to check the status of your application and email mycoach@broward.edu if you need assistance.
Attend an Advising and Registration session (A&R), and register for at least 12 credits for Fall 2023 or Spring 2024, in sessions 1, 2, 3, and/or 4. See the academic calendar for available session start dates.
Attend an optional information session to learn more about this program.

Yes, there is a $35 application fee to apply to Broward College, which can be paid following enrollment in classes. There is no fee to complete the Pledge2Success Scholarship Program application.
The Pledge2Success Scholarship Program requires that you graduate from a Broward County Public, Private or Charter High School in 2023, or be an eligible Broward County homeschool 2023 graduate. Students must meet the minimum 2.0 GPA required for high school graduation.
The Pledge2Success Scholarship Program covers tuition only. It does not cover any fees, books, supplies, transportation, rent, food, or any other expenses. Examples of fees you could be responsible for include lab fees, distance learning fees and/or other special fees.
Yes, all students who are interested in the Pledge2Success Scholarship Program must apply for financial aid. The Pledge2Success Scholarship Program will pay tuition only after all other scholarships and grants you have been awarded have been applied.
Yes, if you meet the eligibility requirements the Pledge2Success Scholarship Program may cover the cost of tuition only, no fees, books, or supplies.
To qualify for the Pledge2Success Scholarship Program, students must have an adjusted gross family income of $82,000 or less.
Yes, you are eligible for the Pledge2Success Scholarship Program for the Fall 2023 semester.
No, summer term is not required if you earn 15 credits in the Fall term and 15 credits in the Spring term.
Yes, if you are a 2023 graduate of a Broward County Public, Private or Charter High School, or an eligible Broward County homeschool 2023 graduate, then you are eligible for the Pledge2Success Scholarship Program, regardless of the number of college credits already completed as part of the Dual Enrollment Program.
G.E.D.® students are not eligible for the Pledge2Success Scholarship Program.
Yes, you must be a Florida resident for tuition purposes per policy 6Hx2-5.15.
No, DACA or undocumented students are ineligible for the Pledge2Success Scholarship Program.
Yes, you can have Florida's Prepaid Plan and be eligible for the Pledge2Success Scholarship Program.
If you have a balance remaining for your tuition after Bright Futures or other scholarships are applied, the Pledge2Success Scholarship Program can be awarded to cover the remaining tuition only, not fees. You cannot decline Bright Futures or other scholarships to increase the Pledge2Success Scholarship Program.
No, the Pledge2Success Scholarship Program applies to the Associate of Arts (A.A.), Associate of Science (A.S.) and the Associate of Applied Science (A.A.S.) degrees only.
Yes, if you received a standard high school diploma from a Broward County Public, Private or Charter High School, or an eligible Broward County homeschool during the 2022-23 academic year and you are part of the 2023 graduating class, then you are eligible for the Pledge2Success Scholarship Program.
For your first associate degree, the Pledge2Success Scholarship Program will pay for your tuition only, through 7 semesters.
The scholarship will cover up to 75 credits (tuition only, no fees) to complete an AA, AS or AAS degree through 7 semesters.

You will not qualify to receive a refund (cashback) for the Pledge2Success Scholarship Program. The Pledge2Success Scholarship Program is considered “last-dollar” funding and will cover tuition only, no fees, at Broward College, after all grants or scholarships you receive are applied.
All students are eligible to enroll in the Tuition Payment Plan. This plan allows you to pay your remaining fees through a monthly payment plan.
Students who are not eligible should complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) and apply for scholarships for assistance with funding.

Pledge2Success Scholarship Program 2023 students must renew the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) for 2024-25 academic year by May 10, 2024. Pledge2Success Scholarship Program students must be enrolled as full-time students.
