Eligibility

  • Graduate from any Broward County Public, Private, or Charter High School in 2025, be an eligible Broward County homeschool 2025 graduate, or Broward County resident who earned a GED in 2025
  • Complete a 2025 - 2026 Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) with an annual adjusted gross income at or below $100,000.
  • Submit a Florida Residency Declaration Form and qualify for Florida in-state tuition and fees.
  • Submit a final, official high school transcript with the graduation date posted to the Office of the College Registrar.
  • Attend New Student Orientation to register for Fall 2025 classes at Broward College.
  • Maintain full-time status at Broward College (Earn 30 credits per academic year). Minimum of 12 credits - fall term; Minimum of 12 credits - spring term; Minimum of 6 credits - summer term.

Yes, there is a $35 application fee to apply to Broward College, which can be paid following enrollment in classes. There is no fee to complete the Pledge2Success Scholarship Program application.

Yes, you can have Florida's Prepaid Plan and be eligible for the Pledge2Success Scholarship Program. 

If you have a balance remaining for your tuition after Bright Futures or other scholarships are applied, the Pledge2Success Scholarship Program can be awarded to cover the remaining tuition and fees. You cannot decline Bright Futures or other scholarships to increase the Pledge2Success Scholarship Program.

No, the Pledge2Success Scholarship Program applies to the Associate of Arts (A.A.), Associate of Science (A.S.) and the Associate of Applied Science (A.A.S.) degrees only.

 

Yes, if you received a standard high school diploma from a Broward County Public, Private or Charter High School, or an eligible Broward County homeschool during the 2024-25 academic year and you are part of the 2025 graduating class, then you are eligible for the Pledge2Success Scholarship Program.

For your first associate degree, the Pledge2Success Scholarship Program will pay for your tuition and fees, through 7 semesters.

You will not qualify to receive a refund (cashback) for the Pledge2Success Scholarship Program. The Pledge2Success Scholarship Program is considered “last-dollar” funding and will cover tuition and fees only at Broward College, after all grants or scholarships you receive are applied.

All students are eligible to enroll in the Tuition Payment Plan. This plan allows you to pay your remaining fees through a monthly payment plan.

Students who are not eligible should complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) and apply for scholarships for assistance with funding.
