Broward College now offering select courses, workshops, and services in your neighborhood!

Through Broward UP, Broward College is offering FREE educational opportunities, workforce training, and support services directly in neighborhoods throughout Broward County. Our goal is to help you get the training needed to find a good job, make more money, and get the skills needed to thrive in the workforce.

Get involved!

Enroll in non-credit, certificate-based courses, participate in workshops tailored to learning the skills needed for college and career readiness, and build relationships with caring instructors, staff, and community partners all invested in your success. Interested in working toward a degree but don’t know where to start, we can provide the guidance to get you enrolled into a program, either online or in one of our traditional campus locations, and on the way toward achieving your Unlimited Potential (UP)!

Courses & Workshops

Certifications can be earned in as little as one day or up to twelve weeks right in your neighborhood.

Students applying for a health care class may receive funding from CareerSource Broward or Broward UP, if they meet the eligibility criteria, in addition to being a Broward County resident.

You have unlimited potential. Broward College has resources to help you achieve it.

  • Make an appointment with a Broward UP Case Manager to complete career assessments, goal setting exercises, and to explore Broward UP programming for job placement. Broward UP Case Managers want to help you address any barriers preventing academic and workforce success. Request an appointment by emailing browardup@broward.edu

  • Broward College offers 146 different education programs ranging from three months to four years. We can help you find the one that is right for you.

    • Visit Continuing Education if you are interested in additional short-term, non-credit continuing education opportunities. Many of these classes can be completed in as little as one class meeting up to 12 weeks!

    • Ready to start working toward a technical certificate, associate, or bachelors degree? Get started today.

  • Financial Aid and Scholarships are available for degree seeking programs!

  • Check out Student Services for academic advising, career resources, tutoring (academic success center), accessibility resources, student counseling, and more!

  • In distress? Seahawk Outreach Services (SOS) assists degree seeking students who may be experiencing extenuating circumstances outside of the classroom that threaten their ability to successfully enter and/or complete college. You are not alone, we can help.

  • In addition to College resources, Broward UP has numerous resource partners throughout Broward County. Together we serve!

    • Prosperity Broward - An initiative that provides Broward County Community Resources for residents

    • Career Source Broward - local organization that provides employment solutions and quality workforce services to businesses and individuals in Broward County.

    • OIC - community-based workforce, job development, and training organization focused on the unemployed, underem­ployed, unskilled, and those with barriers.

    • Nourishing Lives - recognized nonprofit organization (community resource) that provides food to hundreds of families experiencing food insecurity

    • 2-1-1 Broward - is the live, 24-hour helpline, providing all people with crisis, health and human services support and connecting them to resources in our community.
