Ekaterina (Katya) Kross was born in Russia and immigrated to Miami at ten years old, an experience that shaped her worldview and the direction of her professional journey.

She began her education at Broward College, where she graduated in 2018. Katya is always proud and grateful to return to Broward College as an alumna. While at Broward, she had the honor of serving as President of the Political Science Group and Lead Intern in the Professional Enhancement Program.

Katya later earned her B.A. Summa Cum Laude from USF and her J.D. Magna Cum Laude from St. Thomas University College of Law on a full-tuition President’s Scholarship.

After graduation, Katya worked as a Legislative Aide to a Florida State Representative. She holds a private pilot license and has recently opened her own law firm focusing on immigration and estate planning. Additionally, she now has the privilege of tutoring and supporting aspiring attorneys as they prepare for the Florida Bar.

Katya’s work is deeply meaningful to her, greatly influenced by both the journey that brought her here and the people who have contributed to who she is today.
