Program

What happens when your classroom becomes a historic university, a literary landmark, a centuries-old library, and the streets of Dublin? You get a study abroad experience that goes far beyond a traditional trip.

Spend ten (10) days studying with the American College Dublin, where engaging lectures and discussions are combined with experiences that bring your learning to life. Step inside Oscar Wilde's childhood home and explore Art for Art's Sake, a fascinating look at Wilde's life, ideas, and influence on literature and culture.

Walk through Trinity College Dublin and see the legendary Book of Kells, an illuminated manuscript created by Irish monks more than 1,200 years ago. Seeing its intricate artwork and craftsmanship firsthand offers a rare connection to the history of books, art, and scholarship—and to one of Ireland's most celebrated cultural treasures.

You will also have the chance to experience Bloomsday, Dublin's annual celebration of James Joyce and Ulysses. Join in the citywide festivities and discover how Dublin's streets, people, and culture inspired one of the most influential works of modern literature.

But the learning does not stop there. Explore Kilmainham Gaol, visit the National Library of Ireland and the Museum of Literature, discover the history of Dublin's independence movement, and experience the city's literary tradition through a literary heritage tour. Enjoy traditional Irish music, an Irish dancing and dinner show, and a full-day excursion beyond Dublin.

And because the best study abroad experiences are not completely planned for you, there is plenty of free time to explore Dublin on your own—grab coffee with friends, discover a neighborhood, visit a museum, shop, or simply see where the day takes you.

This is not just a trip to Dublin. It is a chance to experience the city through its stories, literature, history, and culture-and become part of the experience yourself.

Location

Dublin

Dublin is a city with a personality all its own—historic without feeling stuck in the past, lively without feeling overwhelming, and big enough to offer something new around every corner. Spend the morning exploring cobblestone streets and centuries-old landmarks, grab lunch at a neighborhood café, and finish the day with live music, theater, or a match at one of the city's iconic venues.

Dublin's compact city center makes it easy to explore on foot, while its diverse neighborhoods offer everything from colorful cafés and independent shops to galleries, bookstores, parks, and bustling markets. The River Liffey runs through the heart of the city, connecting historic areas like Temple Bar and Trinity College with the energy of modern Dublin.

For students, Dublin offers the perfect mix of culture, history, entertainment, and everyday city life. It is a place where you can study in the morning, discover a new neighborhood in the afternoon, and experience authentic Irish music and culture that evening. And when you’re ready to venture beyond the city, Ireland’s castles, coastline, villages, and spectacular countryside are waiting just outside Dublin.
