Imagine swapping your usual campus routine for a classroom in Spain, lunch in a real life castle overlooking the Austrian mountains, or looking for monkeys and sloths in the forests of Costa Rica. That’s the magic of a traditional study abroad program—you spend a summer or semester living and learning in another country while earning credits toward your degree!
You’ll enroll at a foreign university (or partner school), learn from locals and truly immerse yourself in another culture. It’s not just about academics—it’s about new friends, food, languages, and unforgettable experiences. Whether you’re riding trains through Europe or navigating the rainforests of Costa Rica, every day is a chance to explore and grow.
BC Programs will include not only the tuition, but housing, meals, on-site support, international insurance, and built-in travel opportunities. You’ll still be a student, just in a much more Instagram-worthy location.

Spain
Semester, Summer, and January Study Abroad in Seville, Spain. In partnership with the College Consortium for International Studies (CCIS), Broward College is proud to offer study abroad programs in Seville, Spain at the International College of Seville. This magnificent city is the ideal place to immerse in the Andalusian culture and learn Spanish.
Costa Rica
Semester and Summer Study Abroad in Costa Rica. Study in San José, the vibrant capital of one of the most biodiverse countries in the world. In partnership with the College Consortium for International Studies (CCIS), Broward College is proud to offer study abroad programs in San José, Costa Rica at Universidad Veritas. This is a great program for students looking to learn/improve their Spanish and also for students interested in environmental science and conservation.
Austria
Semester and Summer Study Abroad in the picturesque city of Salzburg. Home to the "Sound of Music" and the birthplace of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, the city is full of scenic images, beautiful plazas, majestic mountains, and yes, even a castle overlooking everything. It is truly a fairy tale city. Broward College, through the College Consortium for International Studies (CCIS), works in partnership with Salzburg College to offer students a study-abroad experience that puts a person literally in the heart of Europe. This is an amazing program with courses taught in English and a wide variety of topics.
