Interests: Although not a hobby, my wife and I spend a most of our time raising two wonderful and beautiful little girls. Infrequently I visit writing, reading, walking, and hiking.
Teaching Philosophy: I have posted upon my office door “My job is to comfort the disturbed and disturb the comfortable.’’ My students have disturbed my dogmatic slumbers as I have disturbed their sleep. The greatest teacher that I have ever had was Socrates. Teaching is dancing the dialectic with Socrates. It is both gathering and sowing of excellence.
