WORKFORCE CERTIFICATIONS
Broward College ranked second in the state for the number of CAPE Funded Industry Certifications in 2025-2026, with 1,509 industry certifications reported. The CAPE Postsecondary Industry Certification Funding List is a part of the state colleges’ incentive funding to strengthen connections between education programs and workforce needs.

BROWARD COLLEGE'S RESPIRATORY CARE PROGRAM
In 2025, Broward College’s Respiratory Care Program received the Presidential Award for Excellence from the Commission on Accreditation for Respiratory Care (CoARC). CoARC awarded this prestigious recognition to only 14 programs across the country—and Broward College is the only institution in Florida to earn this distinction.
PRESTIGEOUS ART AND LITERARY MAGAZINES
Panku's Spring issue was recognized as "Superior" out of the 456 schools that applied to REALM in 2025. Submissions came from 44 states, plus Washington, D.C. and six countries. In 2024, Panku’s 60th anniversary issue was among the 125 magazines that were awarded the contest’s highest distinction, REALM First Class.
For the second consecutive year, it has been ranked in the National Council of Teachers of English's Recognizing Excellence in Art and Literary Magazines (REALM) program.
BROWARD COLLEGE'S STUDENT PUBLICATIONS
The Observer student newspaper and literary arts magazine – recently took home a number of awards during the recent 64th Annual Florida College Systems Press Association (FCSPA) Conference, held in Daytona, Florida.
The Observer won several honors, including First Place in General Column for Yestin Arvin Gochuico; First Place in Editorial for Gabriella Small and Scarlett Pullido; and Second Place in Illustration for Yestin Arvin Gochuico, to name a few.
