TRAINING OPPORTUNITIES

Broward College/IPS will be hosting a one-day class “Leading Without Rank:  Leadership for the Line Officer” on Tuesday, November 12, 2019.  The belief that officers must have rank to be considered leaders is a myth that has hindered our profession for too long. Traditional leadership programs have focused on those who have already been promoted, but what about those who haven't? Some of the most effective leaders don't have brass on their collars or stripes on their sleeves. Leading Without Rank was designed to inspire officers to seek out leadership opportunities within organizations and provide the skills and motivation to influence the behaviors of those around them and influence the culture of their organization.
We will focus on:
The differences between Authority vs. Influence
Inward Mindset vs. Outward Mindset
Planning for personal and professional development
How intentional effort leads to leadership success
Leading yourself and taking ownership of your actions
The art of Unconditional Respect
The cost of the class is $149 and students may register with Command Presence Training.

Calibre Press presents a special 2-day “Female Enforcer and Emotional Survival for Female Enforcers” seminar on December 3-4, 2019.  This course will take it a step beyond the physical, mental and tactical training provided for professional survival. By pairing the Female Enforcers seminar with the Emotional Survival for Female Enforcers course, the often-overlooked realm of emotional/personal survival will be explored in its entirety.  The class is being held at Broward College/IPS and the cost per person is $349.  For more information and register online at www.calibrepress.com.

Broward College/IPS is hosting a one-day "Glock Armorers Course" December 12, 2019, from 8:00 AM until 5:00 PM at A. Hugh Adams Central Campus in Davie, FL.  During this one day class (8  hour) students will learn how to safely use and maintain your weapon. To be eligible to take the Armorers Course you must be an active/retired law enforcement or military officer, private security, GLOCK Stocking Dealer/Range Program Employee or current GSSF member.  The cost of the course is $250.00 per person.  Please register for the class with Glock.
