Benefits

Consistent with the philosophy of an institution devoted to public service; the College has developed a full benefits program for the welfare of its employees. All full-time employees are eligible for benefits on the first of the month following 30 days of employment.


Employee Assistance Program (EAP) - All full time employees and their household members are entitled to services provided by CIGNA.Flexible Spending Account (Section 125)   - The college sponsors a payroll deduction plan for payment of insurance premiums.
Florida Prepaid College Plan - Locks in the cost of college tuition, local fees and dormitory housing at today’s prices.Retirement - All full-time BC employees are members of the Florida Retirement System (FRS).
Tax Sheltered Annuities (TSA)  - The Board has authorized payroll deductions to be made for tax sheltered annuities.Workers Compensation - All members are protected in the event of an injury resulting from a work-related accident.
Other Benefits - Voluntary Furlough and College Employee Severance Plan (CESP)2010 Open Enrollment
Vision Plan, FSA, Sick Pool changes, active rates for 2010 and other forms.

 

Medical Benefits

Medical Insurance - The Board of Trustees has approved to provide health insurance coverage at no cost to employees.Disability - The College provides Long Term Disability income protection to employees at no cost.
Dental Insurance - The Board of Trustees has approved to provide group dental coverage at no cost to employees.Health Plan Task Force - Studies health care and health insurance issues and make recommendations on how best to resolve these issues to the benefit of the College and its employees.
Life Insurance - While an employee is with BCC on a full-time basis, he or she will be covered by the Board of Trustees.Legal Plan - The Preferred Legal Plan is offered to all full-time employees eligible for benefits on a voluntary basis.
Secure Travel - An emergency travel assistance program is available to all full-time employees who have accepted the Accident Insurance benefits package with CIGNA Group Insurance.HIPAA

Prescription Coverage - The Board of Trustees provides prescription drug coverage for employees at no cost.Sick Leave Pool - Use of Sick Leave Pool credits is limited to the employee's personal illness, accident, or injury.2009 Active Rates
Vision Coverage - All full-time employees are also eligible to enroll in vision coverage through CompBenefits.Family Medical Leave (FMLA)  - Eligible employees are entitled to up to 12 weeks of leave for every 12-months.
