Broward College Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Office in Human Resources supports and enhances the College’s commitment to diversity by offering advice to departments, faculty and staff in their efforts to recruit and retain a diverse workforce.

 

As an equal employment opportunity institution, the Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Office seeks to ensure that the campuses comply with all federal and state laws and College policies and prohibits discrimination on the basis of race, color, ethnicity, religion, sex, national origin, age, sexual orientation, marital status, disability, or veteran status.

The Equity and Inclusion Office prepares the Affirmative Action Plan and programs that are established in accordance with regulations promulgated by the Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs, Executive Order 11246 and the Rehabilitation Act, Section 503.

The Affirmative Action Plan documents the College’s goals and action-oriented programs that outline activities and strategies the College utilize to increase and retain a diverse workforce. The Plan also establishes goals the College aspires to in its employment of administrators, faculty and staff.
