Nancy Botero joined Broward College as the Vice President of Advancement and Executive Director of the Broward College Foundation in November of 2005 after 22 years in a similar role at Florida Atlantic University. Botero is responsible for the overall fundraising efforts of the College as well as providing leadership and direction for the advancement of Broward College, which includes grants development, alumni and college events.

Botero is a 2011 graduate of the Leadership Florida Class XXIX. Recently, Botero chaired a state-wide effort to advocate for funding of the Phillip Benjamin matching gift program on behalf of the members of the Florida Resource Development Council. She has also presented at several professional development conferences, most recently for CASE. Botero is active in the community serving as a past president of the Hundred Club of Broward County, board member of the Tower Club, Greater Fort Lauderdale Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors and serves on the Gold Coast Regional Council for Leadership Florida. She is also active in Leadership Broward and Executives' Association of Fort Lauderdale.

Botero earned her Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from the University of Florida where she graduated with the distinction of membership in Florida Blue Key Honor Fraternity. She earned her Master of Arts in Communication from Florida Atlantic University and her thesis was recognized by CASE for outstanding scholarship in communication.
